The Green Mindset 2026: Breaking the Plastic Habit was successfully held on n c07 February 2026 at Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC). The event was organized by Remians Nature & Earth Club in partnership with OAB Foundation, aiming to inspire young people to take meaningful action against plastic pollution and adopt more sustainable lifestyles.
The programme featured the flagship seminar "Breaking the Plastic Habit," which explored the environmental, social, and economic impacts of plastic pollution in Bangladesh. The session highlighted practical solutions for reducing single-use plastics, improving waste management, and encouraging environmentally responsible behaviour.
The keynote session was delivered by an Assistant Professor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) and Environmental Science Researcher, who shared scientific insights and practical strategies for addressing the growing plastic pollution crisis. The seminar emphasized the importance of sustainable consumption, circular economy practices, and community participation in protecting the environment.
Students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and explored practical ways to reduce plastic waste in their schools, homes, and communities. The event encouraged youth to become environmental leaders by promoting responsible consumption and climate-conscious actions.
